The permanent exhibition will offer you an immersion in the forest for a better understanding of this exceptional natural site.
To give a global vision of the natural site, here is the ambition of the new site house. Thanks to a contemporary scenography imagined by the company Arc-en-Scène, the visitor discovers the secrets of the forest. Scenographic furniture evoking the relief of the syncline, sound landscapes, films and models are at the service of a visit designed as a progressive ascent around several thematic sequences.
THE FOREST IN QUESTIONS
What is a syncline? What are the natural environments present? Who lives in the forest? And what is the place and role of Man? So many questions that are answered through models, films and digital devices.
THE FOREST TODAY
Property of the Department of the Drôme, the forest of Saoû is managed as a Sensitive Natural Space. The objective? To preserve in a sustainable way this remarkable heritage while improving the conditions of opening and access to the public.
BEFORE LEAVING FOR THE FOREST
The exhibition concludes with the curiosity cabinet and the ecoguard area located on the first floor, a last step before going into the field.
Finally, the tour would not be complete without a chapter devoted to Maurice Burrus, creator of the inn. A reconstructed living room, an audio tour and a digital device pay tribute to this pioneer of green tourism.
