Redstart, the great journey
Spring is here ! The redstart is getting ready to leave Africa to migrate to Europe and begin its courtship ritual…
This season, the Auberge des Dauphins is hosting the work of artist Anne Crausaz. Inspired by her illustrations, we created an immersive exhibition exploring the long and demanding journey of migration. Visitors—especially children aged 5 and up—are invited to follow the redstart on its journey, from the African plains to nesting spot.
Enhanced with natural history elements, the exhibition blends art and science for everyone’s enjoyment.
Anne Crausaz is a Swiss author-illustrator and a graduate of the École Cantonale d’Art de Lausanne. She works digitally (more specifically in vector graphics) using Illustrator software, which allows her flexibility and creative freedom. Her warm, poetic worlds are centered on observing nature. Her graphic style invites young children to contemplate the living world, from the cycles of the seasons to the small secrets of the garden.
